 StreetsBattersea Power Station July 2008BLOG
A rare opportunity to visit one of London's most iconic buildings, and take pictures too. The new owners decided to pull a PR stunt and invite visitors to see the sorry state of the building now and what it'll look like in the future. If it reaches completion it'll be incredible, but very exclusive.

 NatureWild Flowers
This is an occasional series devoted to wild flowers: that'll be wild as in ***CRAZY*** with HUGE amounts of saturation to make them like Nature (never) intended. Shot exclusively with a Nokia N95: sometimes 5Mp is not quite right...

 StreetsBrixton May 2008
I hadn't been to Brixton during the day before so I spent a whole day photographing scenes round the Station Market and the temporarily relocated Pope's Street Market. If it hadn't have been for the fact that this was South London I would have said that the decay was typically that of the East that I'd been looking for.

 StreetsLondon streets February 2008BLOG
Spent a day in London taking in Shoreditch and Brick Lane, then back to Canning Town to partially reshoot my earlier gallery. I found that the city was still being torn down and rebuilt seemingly haphazardly. Will it ever be finished?

 EventsBookslam! November 2007LINK
Book Slam is London’s first/ best/ only literary night out featuring all the top writers, the finest live music and a semi-professional Serbian DJ. It’s clubbing for grown-ups. It’s fun. And different. On the bill were: Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai, Luke Wright and Joel Stickley and The Heard.

 EventsNikon Solutions Expo 2007LINK
Nikon staged a solutions expo at London's Kensington Olympia and invited Nikon lovers to come and get to know the new D3, D300 bodies and new lenses. I didn't buy anything but managed to take some headshots, and cover a catwalk session as well as an impromptu model shoot with Katie.

 StreetsShoot around the City (1)
London's a fascinating place at the best of times, and is latterly being touted as "the city that never sleeps". Not true! If you choose the right time and the right place it sleeps so well you'd think that no-one ever existed there..

 MusicQlimax 2007
Qlimax 2007 was the biggest indoor event I'd ever been to. Staged in the massive Gelredome, Arnhem it was a wild night of great music and entertainment from some of the top hardstyle DJs in Europe. I met some great people again and a very special hello to the Pepsi crew and the VIPs I met outside the marquee. Tot ziens!

 EventsWoking Beer Festival 2007
I spent the best part of a day wandering around the 14th Annual Woking Beer Festival held at the local Leisure Centre. A difficult assignment, I held off from sampling one the hundreds of fine ales for as long as possible, then I joined the 1500 other drinkers. It was all downhill from there but the beer was so good!

MusicThe 9th Annual Blaq Mummy HalloweenBLOG
Described as "Prague's primaeval post-punk legion from planet X, powered by universal love and wide-spread devastation. On the side of Elvis and Godzilla. The rockingest and most long-lived Halloween party in Prague!". A fascinating gig with some of the most interesting people I've ever met!

 TravelHeavy Metal in PolandLINK BLOG
A chance email conversation with a Polish photographer culminated with a visit to the famous Gdansk shipyards in Poland. Birthplace of the "Solidarity" union movement, the yards are now in decline following EU rulings. I was honoured to capture a piece of history and visit Poland for the first time.

 MusicRaindance Rave 18th Birthday 2007LINK
"Raindance was the first legal rave back in 1989, 2 weeks before Helter Skelter, so we want ravers old and new to join together for a birthday celebration not to be forgotten". How could I forget a night of total sensory overload with a bunch of fantastic ravers? Hosted at London's SEone Club, this was an 18th birthday party like no other!

 PeoplePolish Party September 2007LINK
A couple of my Polish friends asked me take some pictures at a Polish Night at the Rat and Parrot pub in Woking so I went along. Although this huge pub swallowed the party with ease it was a great atmosphere and a party to remember. And just for good measure there was a pirate invasion too. I can't wait for the next one!

 MusicQ-Base 2007LINK
Q-Base is an annual dance event organised by the Q-Dance organisation in Holland. Held on an old Cold-War airfield it uses hangars and bunkers as "clubs" and plays some of the hardest-style music in Europe. This amazing party lasts for 16 hours and is attended by people from all over the world.

 TravelPrague August 2007
I returned to the now-familiar Prague and enjoyed the hustle and bustle of this increasingly cosmopolitan city after the quietness of Boskovice. This time I decided to not only take tourist pictures but also looked at the "other" less well-known parts of the city.

 MusicHradhouse 10th Anniversary, 2007LINK
Hradhouse is a prestige annual dance/electronic music event held in Boskovice Castle in the province of Moravia, Czech Republic. I was honoured to be able to go and take pictures at this event which featured some of the best DJs from Czech Republic and worldwide. The setting was magnificent and lent a somewhat surreal feel to the whole occasion!

 TravelBoskovice 2007BLOG
Boskovice is a sleepy town in the province of Moravia, Czech Republic. I spent a few days there to take in the Hradhouse music festival. Although small the town has a rich Jewish history and many of the problems that the Jewry faced there were later played out across Europe.

EventsThe Adrian Flux French Car Show 2007

 TravelHomage to Catalonia, July 2007BLOG
This was my first trip to Spain and I didn't check how near (or far) Girona was to Barcelona. When I did I decided to book a hotel and stay the night: the city has different styles of architecture and was beautiful at night and by day. A very relaxing trip and one to be repeated!

 EventsGoodwood Festival of Speed 2007LINK
Fast, expensive cars + a big hill + live bands = Festival of Speed! I went to shoot a live band, ended up shooting two and getting real close to some of the world's most beautifully crafted, thirsty and expensive metal. Can a Formula 1 car go hill climbing? It can at Goodwood!

 MusicTom Nolan and The BluescastersLINK
Tom Nolan's Bluescasters are a competent and dynamic 3-piece outfit featuring Tom Nolan on guitar /vocals, Rick Biddulph on bass/12 string guitar, and Chris Hunt on drums. I caught their gig at a wedding reception held in a garden and took a few pictures: 3 veteran musicians showing us how it should be done!

 MusicEC1
Clubbing in EC1 is a little different to most other places in London. The crowd is certainly different and seem to be tolerant that most of the clubs (really lounges) close at 2.30am. This club was packed to the seams and as the night grew more frenetic, inhibitions were discarded and the fun really started...

MusicThe Acid Monkey Easter Party 2007
I couldn't find my "secret location" gig so I wandered into the Acid Monkey party at SEone, carrying my camera. Once inside I was approached by the organiser who's official photographer hadn't turned up. An amazing coincidence and an amazing night!

StreetsEast London 1 - Mile End, Limehouse, Canning Town
I went to East London in search of cruft and ended up in Mile End, Limehouse and Canning Town. I found a striking contrast between wealth and normality but there were actually similarities between both. Not that they'd want to admit it.. This is part 1 of a series of 3.

 StreetsGreenwich, January 2007BLOG
I returned to Greenwich after 20 years expecting to find the same amount of cruft as before. What I found was the new, improved, and largely silent. It's not all bad though...

 MusicParis, New Year's Eve 2006
I return to my favourite Western-European capital once more for New Year's Eve. This time I'm on the guest list at Le Triptyque, one of Paris' hottest clubs at Rue Montmartre. I ended up getting lost after the event and have the pictures to prove it!

 SportPrague, November 2006
Back to Prague, and despite it being November actually not as cold as before: it made up for that by being very wet instead. This time I met friends old and new, drank a giraffe and watched 11 men running around with a green kangaroo.

 Music'Armin Only' 2006, Rotterdam
Having spent the day sightseeing in Rotterdam, all that was left to do was to stand in a big hall with 11,000 people for 8 hours listening to some of the best trance around. Cool !

 TravelRotterdam, November 2006

 StreetsStreets of Southwark, 2006
I spent some time at the Tate Modern, then indulged in a spot of street photography. Southwark has one foot in total modernism, the other in an area that's quietly decaying. Perfect.

 TravelEstonia, September 2006
I went to Estonia in far-Eastern Europe: a land just over the sea from Sweden and within easy reach of Russia. It rained. A lot. But the food was excellent. And the Saku beer.. *sigh*

 TravelBerlin, May 2006
After the maelstrom that could only have been the Love Parade came the calm of a Berlin Sunday morning. Time to give the hearing a break and take in some of the city sights on foot.

 TravelHaarlem and Amsterdam, May 2006
I had a day trip to Haarlem for a meeting and had a whole afternoon to wander around Amsterdam seeing the sights and sampling the local delicacies. It was a long and tiring day, but well worth it.

 TravelPrague, February 2006
The beauty of the city of Prague - so much to see and do, but in February so very cold. It snowed every day and I often had problems holding the cameras.
