| Charmin(g) - not !.. |
| There are some pretty gross TV commercials out there right now, but the one that makes me squirm is the latest for Charmin toilet roll. In this sad tale, some obese bear chav daughter has run out of bog roll and is practically crapping herself until heroic father comes to the rescue, bearing (!) new Charmin, obviously. In what appears to be a growing trend, we're then "treated" to a side-by-side comparison of Charmin vs another 2-ply product, and presumably because it's TV, the pooh is blue, and in the case of the *other* product, extremely runny (see pics !!). If I was responsible for either of these poohs, I wouldn't be messing around with Charmin - it'd be straight down to the doctors for an appointment with the bowel specialist ! As we're being blunt here, the last time I saw a pooh like that was after a week of antibiotics, and I'm damn sure that not even Charmin could have controlled that one ! Quite why we have to be subjected to such crude advertising is beyond me - I think we've all figured out what toilet paper's for. And does a bear shit in the woods ? Well, we all know the answer to that one too ! |
